In the spoken dialect of the Varaita Valley "Ciambun", meaning "good field", is the place where our ancestors carried out most of their farming activities, earning a living for the whole year.
In 2002, our passion for our land and the desire to embark on a path dedicated to rural hospitality allowed us to open our small family-run mountain farmhouse.
My family and I carry on the values of a rural experience, enhancing our accommodation with local and genuine cuisine, following the natural cycle of the seasons and respecting their rhythms.
We consider hospitality and experiencing nature every day to be the most important things. Our greatest satisfaction is to welcome our guests and make them feel at home right from the very beginning.
Our rooms
The woods and meadows surround the farmhouse, fireflies will light up the early summer evenings and the stars will fill your eyes with magic. With no television in the room, our guests have a small lounge where they can spend time reading and browsing through our library, to really dive into a comfortable all-round relaxation.
At breakfast, coffee is still made with the moka and every morning we fetch fresh eggs from our hens. A stay in our farmhouse has the ancient flavour of simple things.
Activities in the Valley: Discovering a magical land
The Ciambun holiday farm is located in the Varaita valley at an altitude of 850 metres, immersed in the lush green of its meadows near the hamlet of Rore in the municipality of Sampeyre.
Starting directly from the agriturismo, there are numerous itineraries of a range of difficulty for comfortable excursions on foot or by mountain bike.
Those who come to 'discover' this area of the Alpine arc will take home the memory of walking on trails of unparalleled beauty.
Relaxation Area
We offer our guests a space where they can relax and rest their minds, just a few steps from the forest and its tranquillity.
A place where you can refresh yourself after a hike or where you can simply enjoy some peace for body and soul.
The Farm
A farm with a long history, which over the years has enabled us to complement our farm holiday proposal. Our farm is mainly dedicated to rearing cattle of the Piedmontese breed.
All our cattle graze for 6-7 months of the year and in the summer they go up to the alpine pastures above 1400 m and this allows us not only to guarantee animal welfare but also an excellent quality of meat.
